I have come full circle in my archery career, returning to Barebow archery after 15 years of Compound Freestyle unlimited shooting .
I was one of the first ABA archers to start shooting Sights in competition in Victoria , and have managed to shoot the mythical perfect round of “400” at the 2001 state titles , my last state title before I became Branch controller .( The only archer to do it at that event )
After a long battle with the Black Dog (target panic) I decided I still wanted to shoot arrows, but could no longer use sights after many years of trying all sorts of things from Back tension to open sights I decided to go back to my roots and shoot Bowhunter style just for the fun of it .
Me being me I started to put more effort in to my new found passion , and steadily rose through the Grades to Masters , then set my goal of achieving Grand masters , I achieved this at our clubs two day shoot in November 2009. The first person to achieve this feet unsighted in Victoria since Luke Eberbach nearly 8 years ago .
