Axcell Sights at Urban
We have the Axcell 3000 sight now at Urban Archery in both Black and Silver. Come in and check out the next great sight on the market. In our initial tests we have been impressed with it's ruggedness and lack of noise. "It's like the guys sat down and looked at all the good points of a Sureloc & Copper John Ants and added their own bits to come up with one excellent sight." - Paul Malynn

Urban at the 2008 Australian Open
Team Urban had a great showing at the Australian Open held at DIamond Valley Archers on the 17th-19th of October.
In the individual the Urban team got some great results.
In the Womens Erika Anear again led the way working her way through the matches before falling in a 3 arrow shootoff to finish 6th, just mm out of the finals.
Hannah Anderson finished in 12 and Renae Farrugia in 23rd, falling to Erika in the first round.
In the Mens Compound Sten Nigol put up impressive rounds including knocking out top English shooter James Forbes before falling in the 1/4 round and finishing 5th.
Chris Grosvenor also shot great including knocking out New Zealand's Stephen Clifton before falling in the 1/4 for 7th place.
Derek Jacobs was the highest ranked Victoria picking up his Gold FITA star with a 1351 and went out in the 1/8 round for 12th.
Caleb Anderson won his first round and finished 27th.
Marcus Anear had the highest losing match in the 1/32 and thus finished 33rd.
In the teams event the Urban Archery Mens team (Derek Jacobs, Sten Nigol, Marcus Anear) put in a strong showing knocking out the Australia 2 team in their second match 222-217 before falling to the Australia 1 team. In the bronze medal match Urban fell to New Zealand 221-218. Only International Representing teams finished higher than the Urban Team.
In the Womens Compound Erika Anear featured in the Australia 1 team and met with England in the gold medal match falling 214-215 in a great match.
