Urban Archery again made a great showing at the Australian National Target and Field Championships.
Urban's Mens Compound was led by Bryce Lee and his Mathews Apex 7 as he made a major assult on the Victorian record books breaking the Mens FITA record on day one (1379) and then the 90m record on day 2 (338). The previous FITA record was held by Urban's Sten Nigol who also broke the state 90m record on day 2 with a 336.
Bryce's 1379 and 1373 was good enough for 4th place in the super competitive division.
Sten's 1362 and 1359 gave him 6th place. Sten's day 2 score was hampered by a miss due to a fletch coming off on release.
Marcus Anear posted 3 competition bests to finish 11th, including 70m scores of 344 and 339.
Caleb Anderson posted the 3rd highest 50m on day 2 (340) to finish 20th.
Meanwhile in the Womens Compound Field event Erika Anear broke Australian and Nationals records with a 357 out of 360 to steal the National title on a countback.
Hannah Anderson shot competition bests of 339 and 344 to pick up 5th place.
For the Mens Compound field Bryce again finished top for Urban taking the bronze medal with a 353 and 355.
Marcus finished 12th with a 346 and 347.
Caleb shot a 335 and a competition best 347 to take 16th.
In the womens compound target Erika again made a comeback from being down after the first day. Her 1365 day 2 score was the highest, however she would finish in second place by just 2 points.
Hannah shot a good day 2 score of 1335 to pick up 7th.
